Delicious entrees easy enough for weeknight meals 

This week's featured entree is Simple to Make - Sweet Oven Baked Ribs


  • 2lbs baby back ribs split into 4 portions
  • One bottle of your favorite sweet barbeque sauce
  • vegetable oil spray
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp of chili powder
  • 1 tsp of thyme
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar 
  • 1/4 cup of apple jelly


Melt butter for 30 seconds in a bowl with the brown sugar and apple jelly.  The butter should be melted even if the brown sugar and jelly is not completely liquified.  Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, chili powder, thyme and parsley with sugar/butter/jelly mixture. Combine with barbeque sauce. Salt the ribs on all sides.  Place in aluminum foil sprayed with vegetable oil, brush with sauce, wrap tightly and marinate overnight (minimum 4 hours).  Preheat oven at 275 degrees.  Cook in foil at 275 degrees for 2 to 3 hours or until done.  The rib meat should be tender enough to fall off the bone when pulled apart with a fork.
