Directions:

Run hot water over sharp knife.

Cut sausage tube in the middle and squeeze both ends onto a plate.

Sprinkle desired amount of basil and Italian seasonings (add other spices as you like).

Roll mini-meatballs out of the sausage and sprinkle with garlic powder (not garlic salt).

Heat two tablespoons of vegetable oil evenly dispersed in skillet over low heat.

Place meatballs carefully in skillet (keep on low heat).  Cover loosely with foil.

Fill two-thirds of a large microwave safe bowl with water.

Take most or all of spaghetti, break in half and submerge in bowl.

Put in microwave for 5-6 minutes.

Turn up the heat on the meatballs to medium and move them around in skillet to brown all sides.  Season lightly with more garlic powder or spices as you like.  Cover with foil for 3-4 minutes.

Remove bowl of spaghetti from microwave, push spaghetti down into water.

Remove foil from skillet and cover spaghetti bowl with it.  Leave it out.

BREAD - Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cut French bread loaf into 1-inch slices.  Melt butter in a bowl (approximately 3 tablespoons or half butter, half olive oil).  Brush butter/oil on bread and sprinkle with desired amount of garlic powder (cheese optional).  Cook in preheated oven or toaster oven for 3-4 minutes.  DON'T OVERCOOK - It cooks fast - Set a timer or keep an eye on it.

Remove the mini-meatballs from the skillet and place on a plate with 3 paper towels (2 on bottom and one on top of the meatballs).  Carefully rinse the skillet with fresh cold water (it doesn't need to be perfectly clean - just get most of the oil residue out).  Pour jar of spaghetti sauce into skillet.  Heat on low heat. Stirring continuously.  You can add the meatballs into the sauce (preferred) or just top your spaghetti and sauce with them.

Remove bread - put 2 pieces on each plate.

Remove the foil and check the spaghetti to make sure it is soft.  If not, keep foil off and put in microwave for 3 minutes before proceeding to the next step.

Strain spaghetti in pasta strainer and place desired amount on each plate.

Top the spaghetti with meatballs and sauce.  Sprinkle with light basil or garnish with fresh basil if available and within your budget.

Serve and enjoy!
